Change right before our very eyes!

Exciting news!! We were able to observe a caterpiller change into a chrysalis. The students and I were extremely excited to see this happen before our very eyes! This transformation happens very quick so, we were very excited to witness this happen before our very eyes.

Observing Milkweed!

Our current unit of study in science is an inquiry unit with a focus on the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly.   Students are making observations, asking questions, using scientific tools, sharing ideas about science, and communicating their findings of their observations.  Here, you can see that the kids really enjoyed observing milkweed and milkweed pods with their magnifying lenses.
